Biography
GENRE: Eccentric arthouse cross-genre darkly ironic pop
BOBWANTSHISHEADBACK first formed in Brighton in 2009, as a bunch of creative people who met through our small children. We quickly realised as parents, we were quietly going mad with the lack of a positive adult creative outlet. So we started jamming and discovered to our delight that we could write songs, so started gigging in and around Brighton to see if other people liked them too, and guess what? They did.
As we are a diverse and slightly eccentric mix of characters who play a rather unusual blend of instruments, this is naturally represented in our music. We like to think of ourselves as having a Kubrickesque approach to musical styles. We take a style and put the BOBWANTSHISHEADBACK twist on it. A pastiche band, but we play original material.
